E-Waste Recycling & Disposal Quotes in South Africa
Need to get rid of old electronics? Send one free request and get a quote from an e-waste recycler in your area, anywhere in South Africa: computer and laptop recycling, IT asset disposal, data destruction, battery recycling, appliance and fridge disposal, and collection of every other kind of electronic waste.
Finding a recycler you can trust usually means phoning around, explaining your load several times and still wondering where your equipment ends up. EWasteRecycling.co.za makes it simpler. Tell us what you have, roughly how much, whether there is data on it and where it must be collected. We pass your request to a recycler who serves your area, and you receive a quote for collection, recycling or safe disposal. When your e-waste still has value, the quote can be an offer to buy it.
How it works
- Tell us what you have. List the items and quantities, for example 60 laptops, two server racks and a pallet of UPS batteries, and say whether hard drives need certified destruction.
- We match you with a recycler. Your request goes to an e-waste recycler or collector who works in your province or city.
- Receive your quote. The recycler contacts you with a quote for collection and recycling, or an offer for items with resale or scrap value. There is no cost and no obligation.

E-waste, or electronic waste, is anything with a plug, a battery or a circuit board that has reached the end of its useful life: computers, laptops, servers, cellphones, printers, televisions, fridges, kettles, cables, solar panels, inverters and batteries. It contains valuable materials such as copper, aluminium, gold and palladium, but also hazardous ones such as lead, mercury, cadmium and lithium. Recycled properly, most of it is recovered. Dumped or burnt, it pollutes soil and water and puts people at risk.
E-waste and the law in South Africa
E-waste is regulated under the National Environmental Management: Waste Act (59 of 2008). Extended Producer Responsibility regulations make producers of electrical and electronic equipment responsible for collecting and recycling it, and the national norms and standards for landfill restrict e-waste from being dumped. Businesses must also protect personal information on old devices under POPIA. Using a reputable recycler that issues certificates of recycling and data destruction gives you a paper trail for your auditors, your environmental reports and your clients.
For businesses and households
Our requests come from companies doing an IT refresh, government departments and municipalities disposing of redundant assets, schools and universities, hospitals, mines and factories, retailers, data centres, solar installers, estates and households clearing out the garage. Some have a single car boot of old electronics, others need scheduled collections from dozens of branches. Both get the same fast, free service.
